Associate Professor of Psychology - Wesleyan University

He directs the Wesleyan Psychometric Laboratory where his research focuses on developing innovative new measures of educationally relevant constructs. Dr. Stemler has developed assessments in a wide variety of areas including ethical reasoning, creativity, practical intelligence, social intelligence, and intercultural competence. He received his Ph.D in Educational Research, Measurement, and Evaluation from Boston College, and went on to a postdoctoral fellowship at Yale University where he subsequently joined as a part of the faculty.
