Chennai, January 11, 2017 - Aspiring Minds, India’s leading employability & assessment solutions firm, held the National Employability Conclave (NEC) today at The Feathers Hotel, Chennai. NEC is a premium industry platform that brings together training and placement officers (TPO’s), chairmen, directors of premier academic institutions and industry HR leaders, to nurture best practices and bring in practical solutions towards increasing employability in India.
The Chennai chapter of NEC saw industry leaders from global MNCs as well as start-up companies discussing what right talent means and what they seek from colleges and vice versa. The guest speakers also discussed how best to enhance employability of engineering graduates in an ever-changing work environment.

Leading discussion surrounded around shaping talent pool in line with organizational requirements and bridge the gap between increasing demand and limited supply of right employees. The speakers emphasized on the need for automation and use of scientific methods to enhance graduate employability.
Career Guru Awards were also given at the event to recognize the outstanding efforts and constant contribution of Training and Placement Officers towards fulfilling the placement aspirations of their students and contributing to build the Indian Growth Story. The award winners were:
NEC 2016-17 is scheduled to be held in two more cities. It kick stared the year in Bangalore on February 24th, 2016 followed by Pune, Vijayawada and Kolkata. The next one is scheduled to be be held in New Delhi (January 19th), followed by Hyderabad on February 10th, 2017
